His name is Alexander and his current club is Swedish side from the Stockholm area AIK, not to be confused with Newcastle United star Alexander Isak. This is a young man who at 19 years is starting to show some incredible talent. Meet Alexander Fesshaie Beraki who was recently called up to the senior side of the AIK club. So far in his 3rd game he has scored 2 goals and the 2 goals came in one game. The game known as the Derby between 2 Stockholm based clubs featured another Eritrean Swede in Tesfaldet Tekie who recently was traded to Hammarby from the Dutch Eredivise club Go ahead Eagles. The Swedish Premier league known as the Allsvenskan currently has three top notch players that have Eritrean roots including Alexander Fesshaie Beraki , Tesfalidet Tekie of Hammarby and Nahom Netabay who plays with Kalamar FF. Kalamar FF sits in 3rd place while Hammarby was in 10th place before the loss against AIK and Alexander Fesshaie Beraki . The game took place at the famous Friends Arena where Eritrean national team captain Henok Goitom and young international star Alexander Isak gave joy to thousands and thousands of fans for years.
The tradition continues with young Alexander Fesshaie Beraki who was also trained by Eritrean-Swede coach Nahom Ghidey who seems to be a top notch talent that has helped produce great players for Swedish and other clubs. One executive from AIK said of Alexander Fesshaie Beraki after this Sunday’s performance:
“Ahead of the derby against Hammarby, there were 2004 vibes over AIK. After Alexander Fesshaie secured the derby win that could turn the whole season around for AIK, there were Alexander Isak vibes over Friends instead.“
What a great day for the young man who became a great match hero with two goals for AIK after 2 important goals for AIK as they were close to going down in the standings putting the club in jeopardy of a relegation.
