It is to be recalled that Eri-intlsports.org reported that in early Feb. 2023 Eritrean-Swede Tesfaldet Tekie, one of the best midfield players in the Dutch Premier league was coming back to his adopted homeland of Sweden. Tes is a player that can do wonders and his calm approach as a player is a value that most teams need and appreciate in a midfield general. The 25 year old Eritrean national team prospect signed a 4 year deal with Stockholm’s Hammarby FC where he has already proven to be a starter. Tesfaldet is an impact player that can also produce results. Jesper Jansson the Sporting Director for Hammarby was very elated to have Tes back in the Swedish league.
He went on to say: “Tes” is a skilful, mobile and secure two-way midfielder who has gained international experience from Dutch football over the past three and a half years. We are extremely pleased to be able to welcome a quality player like him to Hammarby and back to Swedish football.”
Meanwhile, Tes is excited to join the third place team in the Swedish top flight. He was excited to be closer to his family after several years in the Dutch Premier league. In an interview with a top Swedish media outlet, this is what he had to say; ” I have become more mature, gained more game time, top notch international matches facing teams like Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV. I was able to see how they play. I saw what you have to do to survive in a top flight league. I have developed many parts of my game and hope to be able to show it in the Allsvenskan.”
Eri-internationalsports wishes Tes a great future in Sweden but also for him to soon represent the Eritrean Red Sea Camels as his talent is very much needed for the growth of the Red Sea Camels.
