Surafeal “Rafiti” Ghirmai has finished his career with the University of Texas as an offensive lineman. Rafiti who was a Redshirt Freshman in his first season with the Longhorns made some big impressions during the spring 2019 workouts for the Longhorns. He was looked at as one of the backups and got some good snaps as Texas had a couple of decent seasons. The Longhorns offensive line gave the second and third-year former highly touted recruits like Rafiti more playing time in limited spots. This is where the graduating offensive tackle and former four-star recruit comes into play but late in the fall of last year, Rafiti decided to put himself in the transfer portal. It is believed that most scouting reports are showing the young man is a high motor linemen with an NFL prospect.

Rafiti has put on a lot of size since he originally joined the Longhorns as part of the 2018 signing class. He now stands at 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds and even got bigger within the last two years. Rafiti was also able to improve his fundamentals and footwork off the line of scrimmage under the guidance of Texas coach Tom Herman. At the moment Rafiti is still undecided, but interests from Syracuse University have triggered his attention. Eri-Internationalsports.org will keep you updated on his final decision.
